Jessica Alba is a very famous actress, staring in numerous films, such as: Sin City, Fantastic Four, Into the Blue, Good Luck Chuck, Valentine’s Day, Little Fockers, Spy Kids 4 and many more, these being the latest and most known ones. In addition to playing key roles in so many films, Jessica Alba also focuses on giving back and has generated a lot of publicity for the charities and fund raisers she has been involved in.

For AIDS charity Amfar, Jessica Alba offered her free acting skills in order to convince Bob Weinstein to donate 100,000 dollars for children to receive tennis lessons. This move made the event extremely popular and gathered much more money than expected, due to her good will and persuasion. Jessica Alba is concerned with children in Africa as well, as she participated and organized many charitable events to ensure educational means, through the 1Goal movement. Another campaign that caught Jessica Alba and that made a stir in the public media world was the Declare Yourself campaign. This one focused on encouraging young people to vote and express their opinions without constrictions. The adds featured Jessica Alba tied with black tape as a symbol of oppression and limited speech rights. The campaign was highly criticized as being too rough, but the message was successfully delivered. Other campaigns and charities in which Jessica Alba has participated are: Project HOME, Revlon Run/Walk for Women, Soles4Souls, SOS Children Villages, Step Up, RADD, Habitat for Humanity, Clothes Off Our Back and National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Her main focus has always been to donate as much as she could to these causes and to attract people with power and money in the entertainment industry to do just the same.

Jessica Alba has participated in many charitable events and still is; focusing on helping underprivileged children in third world countries as her main beneficiaries, but not the only ones. She has held events and contributed to other charities in order to make people understand that there are many others that need help and that are not fortunate.
